The Black Leaf
Edinburgh, 4 March, 2016
The first shot I took with the DP2Q, with added grain from Lightroom 4. To me, this image has a feel of analogue medium format – almost. The leaves were nearly as black as they appear here, in fact the image could almost be a colour reproduction. Clearly some disease had attacked the plant. I was attracted to the leathery quality of the central leaf.

A crumpled sheet about to be ironed, with light flooding in from a window.
Why do the ironing when you can photograph it instead?
Getting Into Art
I enjoy taking photos of people studying art objects. Here, viewer and viewed become one.
